Used this blade for cutting siding and 4 x8 durock panels on an a job enclosing an outdoor portal. The exterior siding is Hardie and on the interior I hung Durock before attaching greenboard. The blade worked well on the 5/16" siding but got bogged down when cutting 1/2" durock. I chose to change blades for cutting the 4 x 8 panels. I think if you are mostly using this for siding jobs it woks well and is priced well.
The FOXBC 6-1/2 inch 4 Tooth Hardie Fiber Cement Saw Blade Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) with 5/8-Inch Arbor is a good quality, reasonably priced and reasonably durable blade for cutting cement backer board, planks, trim, and siding.
Cutting cement boards will always dull and wear blades and do so at an increasing rate over time. Duller blades cut slower, use more power, create more heat and dust, and decrease cut accuracy and crispness. Having a blade that cuts well and demonstrates good durability and performance is important; having that same blade sell at a fair and reasonable price makes blade replacement - when it comes due- far more palatable.
The FOXBC 6-1/2 inch 4 Tooth cement board blade is such a blade. With its thin kerf, I can also use this blade on my battery operated saw. The build, cut quality, durability, and price all contribute to make this a very good blade choice.
Working on various carpentry and projects, there are always various demands for required tools in order to complete the job. Having the right bits and blades are of most importance.
Cutting cement board is difficult, creates a lot of dust, and dulls blades quickly. Having a specialty blade that is intended for cutting this specific material is key. The FOXBC fiber cement saw blade has a thin kerf that helps create less dust, and lower heat generated from cutting material.
Having the right tool for the right job is important for keeping any project on track. Attempting to cut cement board with a standard blade will generate more dust, and the blade will generate heat and dull out more quickly.
The blade is diamond tipped and designed for the increased heat that cutting cement board generates. I expect this blade to last quite a while if it is only used for periodic cuts of material.
This blade fits in the Makita 6 ½” circular saw I use. Glad to have the right saw blade available for cutting fiberboard!
IT MAKES A TON OF DUST BUT CUTS LIKE A HOT KNIFE THRU BUTTER. MADE IT SUPER EASY TO DO MY SHOWER WALLS.
I'm a small contractor that occasionally works with cement board products which require cutting. I normally use a cement cutting wheel for an angle grinder as my tool of choice for this purpose. However, there are times when a more efficient and aggressive tool would be more appropriate. So I decided to try the FOXBC circular saw blade to see how it stacks up. Cement board is very abrasive and can be quite damaging to regular saw blades. So you need something that can withstand the abrasiveness of the sand while cutting.
This is a nicely made high quality industrial blade. It isn't cheap but is reflective of what you would pay for a professional product. My initial inspection determined that this blade is of professional quality and did not have any defects in manufacturing. I did a few test cuts on some Hardie backer board and was amazed by how well the blade performed. The blade is designed to give clean thin cuts with less dust than other types of blades. I am impressed by the quality of cuts I achieved and considering the price point for this blade, it is a fairly good value. I can get cheaper cement cutting wheels but they are much slower and produce a ton of silica dust that I really don't like. So this is a good tradeoff for speed, accuracy, safety, and performance versus the higher cost of a professional blade designed for this application. If I only had a few cuts to do, I would probably just use a cement wheel on my angle grinder. But for all other uses it would make sense to invest in the FOXBC Cement Saw Blade.
At this point I am uncertain about the longevity of the blade. With the diamond tips, large gullets, and thin kerf, the blade is designed to be cool running and create less contact with the sand particles in the base material being cut. So in theory this blade should last fairly long and give good results over time. I will have to see if this theory holds up.
So based on my limited use, I would recommend purchasing this product from FOXBC if you have more than a few cuts to be made on any of the various cement based board products.

from 1453 reviewsIt worked great! It cut straight and clean on a piece of 1 1/4" heavy DOM. Went nice a smooth with no heating of the part. For the money, this is a good deal.
If you need an everyday construction site set of blades, look no further than these. I cut approximately 30 brace blocks from 2x4s for a deck. One blade did 60 cuts like the first cut. I even did a one vertical cut on a 2x8 at the end. All were done on pressure treated lumber, I’m impressed. Can’t beat the price and I will be ordering more. 6/12 tpi for those who want to know.
These work like any other blade that I have purchased. I have not necessarily found any great difference between the most expensive brands and the lower priced brands since I tend to challenge the blade with all types of materials. I would lump this in the mix and buy these based upon the price. At a dollar and a half, for each blade, these are on the very affordable side of what is available. I have sometimes used long metal blades for demolition if I have a large amount of metal embedded (could be conduit, etc.).
I don't often review but I have gone through many planer blade sets for this planer. I'm very glad there is an exact fit replacement as it seems Dewalt has stopped selling blade replacements. These seem to be an exact fit. All dimensions are exact except they are consistently .02 grams heavier and there's no pyramid stamp. I only did the weight because I could not find discrepancies (LxWxHxT). I read a review that they are not as good as the original, don't last as long. May be slightly softer material, IDK...TBD. I will get back to you on this. For now I am giving it 5 stars. I'm on my 9th double pack of blades from Dewalt. That's 4 blade sets per double pack. 36 blade changes. Excellent planer. Glad FoxBC picked up this replacement part.Price = matchesFit = matchesLife & cut = TBDHope this helps, Cheers!
FOXBC 9 Inch 6/12 TPI Demolition Reciprocating Saw Blades for Nail-Embedded Wood, Bi-Metal, 25-Pack with Case --- Received 25 blades as advertised. Haven’t had occasion to use one yet but they are thinner metal, but solid and sharp. Demolition blades are usually bulkier than these. Fit easily into my Dewalt battery operated reciprocating. saw. Plastic case is adequate for keeping them together but doesn’t look like it would take much abuse.
Partial review only, as I need to put these through their paces. The blades are well formed and have no obvious flaws. No curves, errors, etc. The case could use a bit more strength, though, as both pieces of mine are cracked.
I have an old craftsman jointer that desperately needed blades. I bought these and am super happy. Swapped the old ones out and the jointer is back to life. Blades were dharp and flat which is all that's necessary. I'll buy this brand again when I need another set!
Will get dull a little faster then their heated counterparts. However for the first time in 5 sets of blade I’ve just rotated these and did not see a single chip in the blades. This usually happens with any other blades I’ve tried including original DW735 13” blades.
Im going to use these from now on only, needs to be rotated just a little more often, but at the price point they are great. If you start questioning their performance then rotate/replace and go again with a fresh cut. 5 stars!

These last almost as long as the expensive ones, they stay strait just as well, and cut very well. Even though the blade will dull slightly faster (i didn't really notice this until i measured the cuts and compared, it's not much), the amount of cut per dollar is higher than the expensive blades, and the amount of efficient cutting per dollar is higher too, since you are working with a fresher blade more of the time.To put it in perspective, the guys that were doing the demo work did not reach 6 inches further to get the expensive blades, they just grabbed these (they were both sitting on the supplies table). These guys hate changing blades and such, because they see it as wasted time, so for these to choose these much more economical blades tells me that I'll be buying these more often. One note, they come with an expandable blade case, but the plastic is "so-so", you probably won't be keeping the case and putting more blades in it like you would some similar cases that you buy separately, but at this price, the case is, essentially, a freebie with the blades, so it's much appreciated.
Quality. Good weight
there are more expensive, higher quality blades available, but this is still a great crosscutting blade and very much worth the money.
I got this for planning old rough Purple Heart after I destroyed the factory knifes ..I’ve excluded before and after photos with no sanding straight out of the planner
Nice container. Worth restoring with a bit of duct tape.I like to test these kinds of saw blades in a hand-powered handle and in a basic battery-powered saw. This gives me a pretty good idea of how well they perform without too easily overheating, which is murder on cutting edges.I'm not sure it shows very well in these pictures, but the kerf produced by hand cutting is wider than that produced with a power saw. I would have liked to see a bit wider kerf, which would have allowed the coating of these blades to last a bit longer than it does. The steel I cut was a medium hard framing steel, as was the deck screw, which is much harder than typical wood fasteners.I'd choose a bimetal blade with 8-tpi for wood demolition unless a lot of deck screws are involved. These blades are best suited for metal, as described.I was able to make a low angle plunge cut in wood and soft metal. For harder metals intended it be cut with this blade, a plunge cut can be started with a Dremel tool pretty easily.Recommended on price and general utility.
Works great
I make a lot of end grain cutting boards. Those things are really tough to level out after final glue up. I had been using a drum sander, but the heat generated and other factors just made it nearly impossible to get the boards flat. Now, I can use the planer. I make VERY light passes, but this thing cuts end grain!! And it puts a reasonable surface on the board so I am not having to sand out the horrible grooves from the drum sander. I start at 120 grit now. Saves me HOURS of work. Could not be more stoked on this cutter head.
